The Convener of Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS), Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton has charged women to be steadfast in praying for the peace and growth of Rivers State.

Mrs. Fulton stated this at the inauguration of the Okrika Local Government Area Chapter of the Rivers Women Unite for SIM and the commencement of the LGA’s monthly praise and thanksgiving prayer meeting.

Rivers Women Unite for SIM, an umbrella body of Rivers women championing the advocacy for good governance and dedicated to praying for peace and development of the State with chapters across the 23 Local Government Areas.

Performing the inauguration of the chapter, Mrs. Fulton, eulogized the wife of the Rivers State governor, Her Excellency, Lady Valerie Fubara, describing her as a good mother to all Rivers women, adding that she has been appreciative of the commitment of women in praying for lasting peace and development in the State.

Mrs. Fulton lauded the Okrika chapter of the group for being outstanding in their organization and outing.

She appealed to the Okrika women to exhibit the spirit of oneness and avoid allowing anyone to cause disunity amongst them.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of wrapper and gifts to Her Excellency, Lady Valerie Fubara and Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton by the Okrika chapter of Rivers Women Unite for Sim (RWUS.)
