Rapper Naira Marley is now in the custody of the Lagos State Police in connection with the passing of Mohbad. The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this development via a tweet.
Naira Marley is now expected to cooperate with the police as they delve into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise. In the tweet, it was stated, “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities”
It is worth recalling that the singer had previously declared his intention to return to Nigeria to clear his name and actively assist in the investigation concerning his former signee’s unfortunate death.
In a tweet made on a Tuesday, he expressed his commitment to the cause, saying, “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation
“It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
