PGNA Congratulates Abia Gov, Dr. Otti, Speaker, Emeruwa

The Pageant Guild of Nigeria Association (PGNA) has congratulated the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), his deputy, Mr. Ikechukwu Emetu and the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, adding that their victories were divine.

The Coordinator, PGNA Abia State Chapter, Amb. Afrique Jessey Umah who stated this recently in Umuahia Abia state, noted that youths also played a pivotal role in their emergence, urging the new administration to carry them along.

She disclosed that pageant Guild of Nigeria is a non-profit organization of all Pageant organizers in Abia State; that aims to promote excellence, integrity, and positive values within the pageant industry.

“We provide a platform for aspiring models to showcase their talent, intelligence, and beauty, while also emphasizing the importance of character and community involvement.
“We are also committed to showcasing our cultural heritage, promoting Youth empowerment and tourism in Abia state.
“We are also aimed at scrutinizing, sanitizing and eradicating mushroom Modelling and pageantry activities and ensure professionalism in the industry to gain a world wide visibility as well as produce models that will represent Abia in both national and international contest and exhibitions”, she further stated.

Umah further revealed that the pageantry industry in Nigeria has witnessed significant growth and transformation over the years, adding that Abia state, has witnessed a rise in the number of talented individuals participating in pageants both national and international.

She, however, admitted that there is room for improvement, maintaining that pageantry activities should be conducted with fairness, transparency, and professionalism.

The PGNA boss called on Gov. Otti to provide an enabling environment that promotes the growth of young talents.

 

Umah also expressed their readiness to collaborate with the government and its agencies in promoting their cultural heritage and tourism through pageantry and entertainment.

The modeling expert who further called on youths and women to support the administration of Gov. Alex Chioma Otti, charged youths, especially upcoming models to believe in themselves and embrace their uniqueness.

Remember that beauty extends beyond physical appearance; it is found within your character, your compassion, and your willingness to make a positive impact”.
