Peace Will Be Restored To Rivers PDP – BoT Chair, Sen Wabara

…Says PDP is party to beat in 2027

The Chairman, Board of Trustees, (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Adolphus Wabara has assured that the (BoT) of the party, under his watch will not slack, but resort to constitutional measures to bring peace and unity in Rivers State chapter of the party.

Senator Wabara said the process of achieving that important objective has already commenced with the fact finding visit of the BoT to Rivers State, as they will be properly guided by the briefing with the Governor in further investigation and recommendations to the National Working Committee, (NWC) of the PDP.

The BoT Chairman disclosed this at Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday while addressing newsmen shortly after a closed door meeting with the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and appreciated the Rivers State Governor for his resilience and consistent support for the PDP, despite the challenges.

“We thank God for the BoT coming to Rivers State today. We want to appreciate His Excellency, the governor of Rivers State. We discussed and I think we are properly guided now.”

“We came on a fact finding visit and we have been properly briefed, so we will now corroborate. We will fact check and go to the other party, before holding a very crucial meeting to come up with solutions and recommendations to the National Working Committee.”

He stated that the PDP is the Party to beat in the 2027 general elections and the party can only win the confidence and support of Nigerians when all contending issues are promptly addressed to unite the party and put it on a strong footing.

“It doesn’t matter whose ox is gored as far as PDP under my watch is concerned we will go constitutionally and ensure that peace reigns. PDP is the party to beat in 2027, if we miss it again as we did in 2015 and 2023 then Nigeria is gone. So, we want to put these things in order, thank God we are starting early. Once you start early to mend fences by the special grace of God we will satisfy Nigerians this time around.”
