PDP Notifies INEC Over Postponement Of South-south Zonal Congress

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially notified through a letter from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of the postponement of its scheduled South-South Zonal Congress.

The notification, acknowledged by INEC on February 25, 2025, cited operational constraints and unforeseen circumstances as reasons for the Postponement.

The congress, initially planned as part of a series of zonal congresses across the country to elect new Zonal Executive Committee Members and National Ex-Officers, will now be rescheduled. The PDP assured that a new date and venue will be communicated to the commission once confirmed.
