The gynecologist also spoke on the impact of PCOS on the reproductive health of a woman. She explained that in polycystic ovarian syndrome, the ovaries are quite big, and they recruit many eggs at the same time and they don’t want to let go of anyone. And as a result, they couldn’t focus on one or two. Chances are there that there will be no ovulation because none of the eggs are matured. Stating that the woman will not release an egg, she will not conceive during that circle, she will have ovulation occurring and she might not even see her menses at the appropriate time.

Dr. Otuode says health issues associated with PCOS includes; diabetes, irregular menses, unusual hair growth in women, and difficulty in conceiving in some cases. You should know that PCOS is a frequent diagnosis in Nigeria.
