Our Plan Is To Move Enugu From Public To Private Sector Driven Economy, By Mbah, Enugu PDP Guber Candidate

The Enugu State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Peter Mbah recently addressed a world press conference at the Enugu Press Center, after the public unveiling of his manifesto earlier in the day.

Mbah who engaged in a question and answer session with news reporters, reiterated that economic expansion, industrialization and job creation will be the main agenda of his administration, saying these will be pursued relentlessly through disruptive innovation and doing things radically differently.

Mbah did not shy away from the worries on water scarcity which has been one of the major problems facing the people of the state. He took time to explain the functions of the upstream, midstream and downstream levels of water supply and how he would fix the Enugu water problem by fixing each level, especially by fixing the power source problem in the downstream level.

On the issue of security, Mbah shared his determination to sustain and build more on the peace in Enugu by first providing employment opportunities to the youths through government-enabled private sector investments, as unemployment contributes much to insecurity and violence. He also pledged to support community security outfits to do more, and to deploy tech tools and closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) for a more effective and preventive security system.

The story about an alleged FBI investigation on Peter Mbah peddled on social media last week, with some impatient on knowing what the truth is, Dr Mbah made it known in clear terms that he was never investigated by the FBI, and went further to admonish the press on the dangers of fake news and politically motivated smear campaigns.

Mbah reassured the people that if elected, his government would be people focused, industrialization driven, tech driven and completely based on transparency and accountability as he is committed, in his words, to move Enugu from a public sector driven economy to a private sector driven economy.
