Otti’s Chief of Staff Blasts Opposition, Says Abia Gov Is On A Divine Rescue Mission And Nothing Can Stop It

The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has dismissed members of the opposition as “expired in their relevance”, insisting that Governor Alex Otti is on a “divine rescue mission”, and cannot be derailed by political distractions.

Pst. Ajagba made the statement while addressing an enlarged meeting of his Ward 3 kinsmen from Isiala Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, held at the Umuezegu Community Primary School.

The Chief of staff, accused elements of the opposition of plotting to return Abia State to what he described as “Egypt,” warning residents against being deceived by what he called “expired”, political actors who have nothing meaningful left to offer the people.

He said that the present administration inherited a level of decay that could have discouraged a less-prepared leader, noting that Governor Otti deliberately assembled a competent team to reverse decades of decline in the State.

Pst Ajagba argued that while previous administrations failed to deliver Abia State for 24 years, the Otti-led government had achieved remarkable progress within a short period.

The level of deterioration we met on ground when we came was unprecedented. It was enough to discourage someone who was not prepared for this job.

“The things they destroyed in 24 years, it took this man (Governor Otti) 24 months to fix it. Govenor Alex Otti is on a driving rescue mission and nothing can stop it”, Ajagba stated.

The Chief of staff who said that the opposition was bent on reversing the gains already made by the current administration, condemned renewed political opposition activities against the Governor and questioned the credibility of those now claiming they could govern better.

Why is it now that the Governor has come to create a sustainable roadmap that they have suddenly realised they can do better? Why is it that for 24 years they couldn’t do it?.

“What have they got again to offer? They have expired. They want to take us back to Egypt, No, no, no, it can’t work”, he vowed.

The Chief of Staff who drew an analogy with rebuilding a collapsed house, explained that genuine change often comes with temporary inconvenience but ultimately delivers lasting results.

He therefore warned residents against selling their future for short-term inducements, urging them to resist vote-buying and political manipulation which he likened to the biblical story of Esau.

Change comes with inconvenience. If you want to demolish a house to build another one, temporarily you may be rendered homeless. Vision is what draws a roadmap from where you are to where you need to be.

“When they give you ₦5,000 and one bag of rice, you are selling the birthright of your children”, he cautioned,

The Chief of Staff expressed confidence that divine intervention would frustrate any conspiracy against the present administration adding that “This is God’s own State and God has taken over”.

He thanked members of Ward 3 for their continued support for the present administration and assured that the Governor is committed to delivering democracy dividends to the people of the State.
