Otti Swears In Commissioner For Finance, Adviser… Calls For Focused Governance Efforts

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has charged the newly sworn-in Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Mike Akpara and the Special Adviser on Trade, Commerce and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem to contribute their utmost best to ensure the success of the present administration.

The Governor gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony of the duo at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

He pointed out that the present government is one built on the confidence and high expectations of the Abia people and advised the newly sworn-in government appointees to focus on delivering dividends of democracy to the people without constraints.

The Governor highlighted his prompt actions since assumption of office to include, declaring a state of emergency in the education sector healthcare, and waste management and encouraged the appointees to disregard opposition tactics and focus on effective governance.

He expressed confidence that they would surpass public expectations given their experience and pedigree and congratulated them on their appointment.

Responding on behalf of his colleague, the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Mike Akpara, while thanking Governor Otti for finding them fit to serve in his administration, said they understand the policy thrust of Governor and pledged not to deviate from it.
