Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has assured that his administration would collaborate with Innoson Group of Companies in its plan to establish a Vehicle Service Plant .in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state.
Governor Otti who stated this at his Nvosi Country home while playing host to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Innoson Group of Companies, Dr Innocent Chukwuma and his management team, emphasized that the strategic partnership holds the potential to not only bolster the state’s economic revenue streams but also to foster job opportunities for the local populace of Abia.
He underscored the pivotal role that Aba plays as the primary commercial hub within the state and highlighted his administration’s ongoing efforts to develop critical infrastructure and enhance security measures, among other critical initiatives.
Governor Otti who expressed his determination to leave Aba in a better state than he found it said he is satisfied with the increasing influx of investors into the state, attributing it to the government’s effective initiatives that have restored investor confidence.
The Governor lauded Innoson Group for the ongoing establishment of a vehicle service plant station in Aba and reaffirmed his unwavering support.
He revealed that his government had recently ordered 40 vehicles from the company within the past three weeks and added that additional arrangements were being made to procure more vehicles for the State House of Assembly members, while he awaited his official vehicle, all of which would be supplied by INNOSON.
“We will continue to support you. We want to encourage you to keep up the spirit”, Otti assured.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Innoson Group of Companies, Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, earlier in his remarks,expressed gratitude to Governor Otti for effectively promoting INNOSON MOTORS noting that the Governor is a leading advocate for the brand and pledged to partner the Abia state government’s effort to drive the industrial growth of the state.
Chukwuma while reacting to the unwarranted social media posts regarding the Governor’s procurement of security Hilux vans for the “Operation Crush” initiative,emphasized that a significant number of vehicles currently used by the Abia State government are sourced from INNOSON.
He revealed that Governor Otti had previously ordered 20 Hilux security vans from the company but due to an exhausted stock, the order was fulfilled by another company.
Chukwuma appreciated Governor Otti’s impactful contributions to the state, saying that he was happy with what the Governor was doing and assured that the Innoson Group would use Abia as a hub for converting normal vehicles to Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) vehicles as well as run a vehicle service plant in Abia.
