Otti Inaugurates Eight New ASUBEB Members, Tasks Them on Educational Transformation

 

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has inaugurated eight additional members into the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), charging them to serve as vital contributors to the administration’s ongoing transformation agenda in the education sector.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, during the inauguration ceremony, the Governor urged the newly inducted members to commit themselves to the restructuring of public schools across the state. He emphasized the need to raise educational standards to enable Abia schools to compete globally.

Professor Kalu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the board in achieving its mandate, stating that education remains a top priority for the Otti-led administration.

Responding on behalf of the new members, the ASUBEB Chairman, Lady Lillian Onuoha, expressed gratitude to the Governor for approving the appointments. She assured that the board members would work together in unity to actualize the vision and goals of the board.

The newly inaugurated ASUBEB members include, Mrs Ijeoma Umunna, Chief Henry Enwerem, Comrade Friday Mmadu and Mrs Uloma Nwachukwu.

The rests are , Mr Amechi Isaac, Dr Favour Egeonu, Lady Victoria Aliba and Dr Ibebuike Isidore.
