The Traditional Ruler of Eziama/Mgbaja Autonomous Community, Eze Chiabuotu Emenike and his counterpart, the Traditional Ruler of Okpu Isingwu kingdom, all in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State, Eze Kingsley Emekobum, have pledged the loyalty of the people of Ossah-Ibeku and Isingwu respectively, towards the administration of Governor Alex Otti.
Speaking with National Ambassador Newspaper, during the official commissioning of the first 6 lane road project in Abia, the monarchs expressed deep satisfaction and confidence in the Dr Otti’s led government.
According to them, Abia has never had it this good, stating that the emergence of Governor Alex Otti, has changed the narrative in the state.
Eze Chiabuotu Emenike, who is the host traditional ruler of the six lane road project and the new Michael Okpara fountain, said the people of Ossah have been remembered massively in the Gov Otti’s administration, following the smooth run of the compensation payments to owners of the 130 structures marked for demolition to pave way for the six lane 3.5km Ossah-Okpara square road and the completion of the project.
The monarch disclosed that the people of Ossah are very happy with the Governor and they are ready to show their love and support through their votes in the next election.
According to Eze Chiabuotu Emenike, the dreams of Ossah indigenes, occupants and residents alike, have finally come through with the road expansion, which according to him, would ease traffic and as well,boost the aesthetics of the area.
The Traditional Ruler described the Governor as a game changer, who within one year in office, has brought light to the state, changed the political trajectory and transformed governance in its entirety.
“Ossah People are happy with the Governor.We pledge our loyalty continuously to the him.We are giving our support to him, every support he deserves.
“We’ll vote for him again.He has done marvelously well.Eight years tenure is sure. If 32 years is possible,we will vote him”.
Also, the Traditional Ruler of Okpu Isingwu kingdom, Eze Kingsley Omekobum, urged the Governor not to reduce the temple, but ensure the development goes round the state.
Eze Emekobum maintained that the infrastructural development should be decentralized, such that every area in the state would feel the impact of the government,reaffirming that Ndi Abia are happy with the leadership style of the Governor.
The Governor later renamed the Ossah six lane road project to Gen Aguiyi Ironsi Boulevard and unveiled the new Michael Okpara water fountain at Okpara square, Umuahia.
