Oriental Derby: Enyimba Beat Rangers

Enyimba International grabbed all three points in the Oriental Derby against Rangers International of Enugu at the Enyimba International Stadium.

The visitors scored the first goal through Ossy Martins in the 15th minute.

Victor Mbaoma equalised for the People’s Elephant 13 minutes before half time. Mbaoma scored his second goal mid way into the second half to ensure that the Flying Antelopes return to Enugu with nothing.

Abia Warriors of Umuahia, who defeated Enyimba last mid week in the Abia Derby lost to Sunshine Stars of Akure by a lone goal.

The goal was a penalty converted by Chrisantus Ejike Uzoenyi.

Enyimba and Abia Warriors are seventh and 15th on the league table respectively.

In other results, MFM defeated Dakkada 2-0 as Niger Tornadoes blew Wikki Tourist away by a lone goal.

Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars settled their encounter goalless.

On Monday, Akwa United will take on Shooting Stars while Kwara United will tread tackles with Plateau United.

Gombe United will host Nasarawa United as Heartland host Remo Stars on Tuesday.

Wednesday will see Katsina United lurk horns with league leaders, Rivers United.
