Onuigbo lauds Gov Ikpeazu for repositioing Aba

The member representing Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal constituency in the National Assembly, Rep. Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo has applauded the Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for restoring Aba as the centre of development for South-east and South-south geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Fielding questions from newsmen, Hon. Onuigbo disclosed that Gov. Ikpeazu’s Made-in-Aba campaigns has brought Enyimba Shoe Industry back on track; producing for Nigeria, West-Africa and beyond.

“Aba under Gov Ikpeazu is the headquarters of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Provision of tax holidays for businesses in Abia, Enyimba Economic City which has the capacity to create over 700,000 jobs is on the way whereas infrastructural developments evenly distributed across Abia among others by the Governor are quite commendable”, he stated.

Chief Onuigbo who added that the Abia Governor has brought intellectualism and thoroughness to governance further commended him for peace and stability in the state as well as his focused leadership style where everyone is carried along.

He described the relationship between Gov. Ikpeazu and the National Assembly members of Abia origin as cordial, harmonious and productive, insisting that the Governor has been responsive and supportive to him as well as his colleagues in terms of attraction of federal projects to the state.

The legislator further hailed Gov Ikpeazu for being proactive in the management of Covid 19 pandemic which earned Abia state commendation from the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid 19.

The federal lawmaker also advised the Abia Governor to expand other sources of income to execute his numerous projects amidst paucity of funds, continue to maintain industrial harmony while urging Abia revenue managers to show financial transparency in order to help the governor achieve his set goals.

He called on Abians to remain peaceful, law-abiding and continue to support Gov Ikpeazu’s led frugal administration.
