In a resounding display of solidarity, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), Pastor Princewill Ejekwu, has reaffirmed unwavering support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s leadership. Addressing a gathering at Ogbogu-Egi during the inauguration of LGA, ward, and unit coordinators of The Enforcers of Good Governance, a socio-political group rallying behind Governor Fubara, Pastor Ejekwu emphasized the LGA’s unequivocal backing for the governor and his deputy, Prof Mrs. Ngozi Nma Odu.
Ejekwu condemned political detractors for attempting to disrupt the peace and stability of Rivers State, urging them to desist from actions that could undermine progress. He also expressed concern over what he described as politically motivated witch hunts, particularly targeting Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, Chief of Staff at the Rivers State Government House, and other supporters of Governor Fubara. Emphasizing the resolve of Rivers State residents to resist intimidation, Ejekwu commended the Enforcers of Good Governance for their grassroots mobilization efforts and people-oriented leadership.
Hon. Kingsley Ogu, in inaugurating the newly appointed coordinators of the Enforcers of Good Governance, reiterated the group’s commitment to supporting Governor Fubara’s administration. Ogu praised the governor’s people-oriented and solution-focused leadership style, urging the coordinators to remain steadfast in their support. He expressed confidence that Governor Fubara’s tenure would usher in development, job creation, and improved livelihoods for the people of ONELGA and Rivers State as a whole.
The event attended by Chiefs, Elders and notable figures including Prof Daniel Ogum (Chairman EPADOF), Dr. Nwokoji Chukwuemeka (S.A Community affairs to the Deputy Governor of Rivers state, and Commissioner for Urban Development ably represented by Amb. Whyte Igwe Francis, showcased the unity and determination of ONELGA residents to stand behind Governor Fubara’s vision for a prosperous Rivers State.
