In a remarkable show of support and commitment to education, Dr. Kingsley Ogu visited Ignatius Ajuru University of Education yesterday, where he empowered Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA students in a series of impactful ways.
Dr. Ogu, known for his student-friendly approach, distributed 30 hostel forms, sanitary pads, pens, calculators, and 20 departmental receipts to students. Additionally, he provided cash gifts to help students cover the cost of their textbooks.
During the event, Dr. Ogu took the opportunity to motivate the students, urging them to excel in their studies and be active in politics, emphasizing the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future.
When asked by a student, Abali Blessing Cosy, about how his team and the Enforcer of Good Governance initiative gained such widespread recognition, Dr. Ogu responded: “Firstly, you must be financially independent, and secondly, you must genuinely have the people at heart. The people come first in everything you do.”
Another student raised concerns about the challenges of standing out in politics without the backing of a powerful figure. Dr. Ogu assured them that determination is key, and expressed gratitude for the current Governor, who supports the success and qualification of youths in the political arena. “This is why you must take your studies seriously and be prepared to defend them,” he emphasized.
The event was brought to a close with a heartfelt prayer by Comfort Salvation, a strong supporter of Dr. Ogu, known for her unwavering encouragement. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude and hope, as students left inspired and empowered by the session.
The SUG President, Athenasius Moses, also made an appearance to greet Dr. Ogu, acknowledging his presence and the positive impact he continues to have on the students.
It was indeed a day to remember, as Dr. Kingsley Ogu once again proved his dedication to the future leaders of ONELGA.
