Omuma Declares Support For Gov Fubara’s Administration

It was indeed a new dawn and a thanksgiving of liberation for the people of Omuma Local Government Area, as they joined other well-meaning Local Government Areas in praise and thanks to the Almighty God for the election and Supreme Court victory of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, Executive Governor of Rivers State, at Eberi School field, Omuma Local Government Area.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara, ably represented by the member Federal House Of Representatives, Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro Constituency, Hon. Abinate Awaji-Inombek, thanked the people of Omuma LGA for embracing and sustaining peace, reiterating His Excellency’s ideal that no price is too big for peace: “Only those who love God, love peace.”

Leader of the SIMplified movement, Rt. Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi, congratulated the people of Omuma for liberating themselves. He assured them of Governor Fubara’s willingness to complete abandoned projects in Omuma LGA, also prioritizing human capital development.

Also, speaking during the thanksgiving, Barr. Christiana Tamunobereton-ari lamented over the absence of purposeful leadership in the LGA. She said, “We are here in Omuma as mothers, sisters, friends, and daughters of this state. We are very proud that today we have a governor who called us sisters, a governor who recognizes mothers. We are in a local government area where the Local Government Chairman is seen as a Personal Assistant, a local government where women are inaugurated but never used.”

“We are in a local government area where we are saying thank God for freedom, a local government where one man will collect allocation and share peanuts with people,” she added.

On his part, Rt. Hon. Promise Reginald, the Leader of Omuma Legislative Assembly, reaffirmed Omuma’s resolve to take their destiny into their hands and to stand firm with the people’s liberator, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

The climax of the event was the reception of returnees into the People’s Democratic Party by Elder Robinson Ewoh, the Vice Chairman PDP, Rivers West senatorial district, who promised that the party will accord them their full rights and privileges as members.”
