Oluebube Chukwu Honoured as “Son of Grace” at 2025 Women’s Conference in Umuahia

The Women’s Ministry of the Anglican Communion, Church of the Good Shepherd, Ehimiri Umuahia, Abia State, has concluded her 2025 Annual Women’s Guide Conference in a grand and spiritually uplifting ceremony.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process,Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, who was honoured with the “Son of Grace” award thanked God for using him in His Vineyard, while charging all to be Ambassadors of Christ notwithstanding the current situation in the Country.
The SSA who was represented at the event by Lady Ijeoma Iroanulo, a board member of the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, further described the theme of the Conference “Stand firm” as timely, considering the trials and tribulations being faced in the Society today.

In his remarks, Dr. Chukwu thanked the Women’s Ministry for the recognition and described the award as a privilege and a call to do more. He emphasized that his contributions to the ministry were his way of giving back to God for His grace and faithfulness.

“It is a privilege to support the work of God through this ministry,” he stated. “My doors are always open to the women’s ministry, and in my capacity, I will continue to support the work of God and the development of our dear state”.

He also assured the church of the administration’s commitment to building a progressive Abia, urging continued prayers and support from the faith community.

Earlier in her welcome address, Mrs. Success Okeke, an enrolling member/wife of the Vicar, Church of Good Shepherd Ehimiri, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all attendees for their presence and support. She commended the dedication of the women and all stakeholders who have continued to contribute to the growth of the Ministry.

Mrs. Okeke also used the occasion to congratulate the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, and his wife, for attaining two years in office.
She, however ,acknowledged the visible transformation across the state in areas such as road construction, healthcare, and infrastructure, while praying for continued wisdom and divine guidance for the Governor Otti led administration.

The event was graced by notable clergy men including the Archdeacon of the station, Ven. Dr. Chukwuemeka Agbanyim and his wife; The Rev’d Canon Emeka Samuel Okeke, Ven. Herbert and Mrs. Joy Eche, and Rev’d Canon Dr. Azubuike and Mrs. Joyce Ogu.
A major highlight of the conference was the presentation of awards to individuals recognized for their exceptional service and contribution to the work of God through the women’s ministry.

The conference concluded on a high note with thanksgiving, prayers, and renewed commitment to strengthening the women’s ministry and the Church at large.
