Oko Chukwu meets Nkporo women, pledges to fulfill campaign promises

The Abia State Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu ,says the present administration will do all in its power to meet the needs of women and Abians in fulfillment of their electoral mandate to the people.

Sir Ude Oko Chukwu who stated this when the Nkporo Women Forum, Aba Branch , paid him a solidarity visit at Government House,Umuahia, reiterated that their covenant with Abians to ensure that they continue to provide the necessary dividends of democracy and basic amenities in their resolve to leave Abia better than they met it will be vigorously pursued.

The deputy governor, while appreciating the Aba branch of Nkporo women forum for their steadfastness and faith in the Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu’s led government ,as well as the confidence reposed in him as their son and deputy governor over the years ,expressed delight that they fought assiduously through their community sensitization and campaign rallies to ensure that the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, himself and other candidates under the PDP emerged victoriously during the last general elections.

He thanked the entire people of Nkporo and Abians for their support so far and solicited for their sustained prayers to enable them continue to excel in governance, while assuring that he will, in his capacity ,attend to their individual and collective needs at all times.

In their seperate speeches, the leader of the delegation and women leader, Bar. Mrs Ruth Ejike Kalu, the Executive Secretary, Mrs Nwanyi Sunday Uche and Ochiora Esther Otuwe Agwu,who disclosed that they came to identify with their son and deputy governor for making them proud,said they are overwhelmed with happiness over the re-election of the Governor and his Deputy Governor for a second term in office and pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support to the present administration.
