Oko Chukwu Extols His Boss Benevolence

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir. Ude Oko Chukwu has commended his Boss and Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu for giving him the latitude and freedom to discharge his duties and responsibilities without hindrance of any kind.

Sir Oko Chukwu who made the commendation while hosting political associates during a dinner party organized to mark his 60th birthday celebration held at his Government House Lodge, Umuahia pointed out that without the opportunity granted him, he would not have recorded Al the success he has achieved as his Deputy in their onerous task of governance and making Abia better for posterity.

The Deputy Governor used the forum to appreciate his wife, family, friends and associates for the overwhelming love shown him so far which has brought out the best in him and thanked God for His Grace, benevolence and faithfulness towards him while praying for strength , good health and wisdom for the task ahead.

In their Goodwill messages, the Commissioner for Documentation, Mr Ugochukwu Emezue, the Abia North Zonal Chairman of PDP, Elder Amah Abraham, an Elder Statesman, Chief Ndidi Okereke, Chief Chris Nkwonta and The Rev Onyema Agbai said they are proud to be associated with a Deputy Governor that is loyalty and Service oriented personified and congratulated Sir Ude Oko Chukwu on his 60th birthday anniversary, praying God to grant him more healthy years to continue to deliver on their mandate.

Speaking while proposing the toast, the State Head of Service, Sir Onyi Wamah said they came to identify and celebrate a gentleman that is not only humility personified, but someone that has impacted so much in their lives, prayed for more fruitful years in good health and prosperity.

Also speaking during their presentation, the PDP National Students Association led by it’s Chairman, Comrade Chiemeka Ike congratulated the Deputy Governor, Sir Oko Chukwu for attaining the diamond age of 60, described his humility and love for the youths as second to none in the State and Nation and prayed God to continue to bless him with good health.

The ceremony which featured the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant and special song renditions from the Rechoboth and Edifiers choral groups attracted the presence of the wife of the Deputy Governor, Lady Vivien Oko Chukwu, members of the State Executive Council, Top Government Officials, Body of Permanent Secretaries, PDP Chieftains and other distinguished personalities.
