Okiyi congratulates Uche Ogah; advises him to live above parochial partisanship

The Abia state commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, has recently congratulated the ministerial nominee from Abia, Dr Uche Ogah, saying he should rise above parochial partisanship.

Chief Okiyi who stated this in a telephone conversation with our political reporter, said the 2019 governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia, should ensure he works with the state government so as to deliver more dividend of democracy to Abians.

Reacting on the ongoing ministerial screening, the commissioner expressed dissatisfaction over the level of investigation done by the Senate and the information provided by the ministerial nominees.

According to Okiyi, the purpose of screening is to verify the nominees’ suitability for the ministerial position and wondered why the Senate would engage in a ‘bow and go’ syndrome, instead of a thorough scrutiny of  the nominees.

Meanwhile, the information boss commended  the former minister of Trade and Investment, Dr Okechukwu Enelamah, for his tireless efforts in seeing Abia developed.

According to him, Dr Enelamah has been instrumental to the Enyimba Economy City project, and applauded his works so far in ensuring the state becomes a commercial hub, saying Abians are proud of him.
