Okada Riding Gradually Resurfacing in Calabar, Gov. Otu Frown and Issues warning to offenders

Motorbikes also known as okada is gradually resurfacing in the roads of Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State.

 

It will be recalled that the State Governor Senator Bassey Otu had earlier place a ban on okada riding in Calabar metropolis, and so frowned and issue warning to those gradually reintroducing it back to the city of Calabar.

 

The Chief press secretary to Governor Otu, Mr Emmanuel Ogbeche in a press release dated 11th of November made the warning known and also advised motorcyclists to strictly obey the ban or get ready to face prosecution.

To this effect, the State Government have directed all Security Agencies in the State to monitor and arrest any Cyclist going contrary to the directive.

 

The State Government has also issued warning to those who specializes in vandalizing Government properties, to put a stop in the act as vandalizing State or National properties is a criminal offense. The Security Agencies has also been directed to check the activities of these vandals and bring them to book.
