A commissioner designate, Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa has commended the Abia State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji for their legislative prowess.
Nwankpa who stated this while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after his screening by the State House of Assembly today said he was pleased by the high sense of maturity exhibited by the lawmakers during the exercise.
He further described the relationship existing between the executive and the legislature in the State as cordial, adding that it shows unity and love among the leaders which he affirmed should be paramount in the political terrain.
While thanking the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for appointing him to serve as a member of his cabinet, the former Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, however, stated his readiness to serve the State in whichever portfolio assigned to him by the Governor if eventually cleared by the House of Assembly and urged Abians to expect the best from him.
Also screened by the State House of Assembly, today were, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue, Barr. Eze Chikamnayo, Mr. Sopuruchi Bekee, Mrs. Adaku Osisa, Mazi Donatus Okorie and Mr. Godswill Nwanoruo.
