Nwabuko promises to strengthen Ridge Club in Umuahia

 

 

The newly elected chairman of the Ridge Club Umuahia,has promised to strengthen the structure of the Ridge club,as well as boost the unity existing between members.

Speaking shortly,after the 2020 Centennial election held at the club’s Pavilion Umuahia,the newly elected chairman,Sir Emma Nwabuko,said he is aware the world is fast moving towards Information Communication Technology, he would move the club to that direction, such that every of their activity in the club would be digitalized.

Nwabuko disclosed that he offered himself for the position of the chairman,because he wanted to make impact, as well as do something differently from his predecessors.

He said the Ridge club is a work in progress and at such, he would galvanize members to work assiduously for the development of the club.

While stating the benefits of the club to members and society at large, the newly elected chairman said with the sporting activities in the club, members could be fit physically and medically.

He added that the club being an intelligent one,creates the avenue for members to come together and discuss constructively,as well as develop ideas that could help the development of the state.

However, Nwabuko, stated that the club offers recreational activities, where members could bring their families to relax and make merry, calling on the support of the members to move the club higher.

Meanwhile, the outgone chairman,Sir Uchenna Dike,while interacting with the press, thanked God for a successful tenure, adding that his greatest joy was the construction of the club’s pavilion that was completed under his watch,stating confidence, that the new chairman would exceed his achievements.

Sir Dike, however, called on the members to give their full support to the new breed of executive led by Sir Nwabuko, lauding the efforts of the Governor of the state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu,whose immense contributions has facelifted the club.
