NPFL: Enyimba, Warriors tackle Akwa Ibom Clubs

This weekend’s fixtures in the Nigerian Professional Football League will see two Abia State clubs take on their counterparts from Akwa Ibom State.

The People’s Elephant, Enyimba International of Aba will storm the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo to take on Dakkata. Enyimba defeated Remo Stars 2-1 in their last match while Dakkada are languishing in the 19^th position after they were whitewashed 4-1 by Katsina United.

Abia Warriors will host Akwa United as they strive to bounce back to winning ways after losing by a lone goal to Gombe United on Wednesday. Akwa United, on their part, are basking in the euphoria of their 2-0 victory over Wikki Tourist, and will definitely pose a tough challenge to the ‘Umuahia Warriors’.

In other fixtures, MFM will attempt to disunite Kwara United while Heartland host Niger Tornadoes.

Remo Stars will take on Sunshine Stars while Plateau United, who picked up an away win on Wednesday, will welcome Katsina United.

Wikki Tourists will attempt to dim Lobi Stars as Enugu Rangers host Gombe United.

Leaders, Rivers United will take on Shooting Stars while Kano Pillars will hope to stand solid against Nasarawa United.
