NPFL: Enyimba Disunite Nasarawa United

Joseph Atule and Brown Ideye scored in a second consecutive match as Enyimba International defeated Nasarawa United 2-1 in one of their outstanding matches to move to seventh on the league table.

Coach Stanley Eguma kept faith with the line-up that defeated Black Bull 4-1, last weekend, except for Nweke who replaced Fatai.

Joseph Atule gave the People’s Elephant the lead just before the break. But, only 13 minutes after the break, the Solid Miners equalized.

Atule turned provider as he assisted substituted Brown Ideye to give Enyimba the lead just three minutes after the hour mark. It remained a ding-dong affair till full-time.

Enyimba International have now garnered 27 points and are nine points adrift table toppers, Remo Stars and they two outstanding matches.

Enyimba’s next match will be a Confederation Cup clash against Al Masry of Egypt in Uyo.
