Nigeria sent a delegation for the first time to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games that took place in the South Korean city of Pyeongchang, from February 9-25, 2018.
The delegation was made up of four women. They are Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga and Ngozi Onwumere, who competed as bobsledders and Simidele Adeagbo, who competed in the Skeleton Racing event.
While the bobsledders finished 19th, the Skeleton Racer finished 20th yet it was a memorable moment as Nigeria debuted in the Winter Olympics more than 66 years she debuted in the Summer Olympics.
