Nigerian Senate Confirms Fed Commissioners

The Nigerian Senate, has approved the appointments of 21 Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The confirmation was in line with the presentation and consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance for the Confirmation of the Nominations for Appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

Presenting the report during Wednesday plenary, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi , says,“That the Senate do receive and consider the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance on the confirmation of the nominations for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

President Bola Tinubu had earlier appointed the 21 federal Commissioners to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission(RMAFC)” forwarded their names to Senate for confirmation .

Names of the Commissioners and States confirmed are:

1)Linda Oti (Abia)

2) Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom)

3) Enefe Ekene (Anambra)

4) Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue)

5) Chief Eyonsa (Cross-River)

6) Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta)

7) Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi)

8) Victor Eboigbe (Edo)

9) Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti)

10) Ozo Obodougo (Enugu)

11) Kabir Mohammed Mashi (Katsina).

12) Adamu Fanda (Kano)
