Nigerian midfielder, JP McTheophilus set for European club

Nigeria-born Midfield marshal, JohnPaul McTheophilus says a number of European clubs have indicated interest in signing him.

The Imo state born JP McTheophilus played for Persikad Depok in Indonesia Liga Premier for two and half seasons before a sensational move to Pesanku in Bali Regional Division side Pesanku Bali.

The 25 year old midfield marshal says that a number of clubs including Norwegian teams have indicated interested in acquiring his services.

After a long sojourn oversea, JP returned to the country recently to spend time with his family after rejecting offers from a host of Indonesian teams in his quest to project his career to bigger leagues in Europe.

The midfielder told our correspondent that he was listening offers from different European teams.

“Yes, I have offers, but it’s important to make the right choices that will not only improve my life but also my development as a player. So I’m in no rush”, JP said.

He, however, added that, what would inform his choice was not the monetary offer but that a lot of other variables would be factored in.

One among the indices to be considered, according to JP, was a conducive and enabling environment to fully showcase his God given talents, saying, Nigeria players are making the country proud, and he “can’t do otherwise”
