Nigerian-born Medical Doctor Finds Spouse In Ghana

It was love across the shores of Nigeria, as Abia state born medical doctor, Miss Precious Chinonso Adolphus Nwankpa, found her missing rip in Berema Ochiri from Kumasi Ashanti, Ghana.

The marriage union across international shores afforded the Ghananians the opportunity of visiting Nigeria, Abia to be precise for the first time tasted the unique Abia hospitality, which they attested of.
The marriage celebration which lighted up the sleepy Mgbokoukwu community, Obingwa local government as the daughter of their traditional Prime Minister and Ghana trained medical doctor, Chinonso took her hearthrop to her kiths and kins to tie the nuptial knot in a traditional way, attracted dignitaries across the state and Ghana.
Speaking to our Correspondent at the sideline of the event, the Abia state PDP deputy chairman, Hon. Obinna Nwachukwu, described the occasion as one event, every parents look forward to especially at their ripe age .


He extolled the virtues implanted on the bride by mother and expressed optimism that his cousin sister would replicate the good virtues of her mother and family in Ghana.
Also speaking, an Uncle of the bride, Super High Chief Sunny Nwankpa, describe marriage across Nations especially between Nigeria and African countries as a welcome development which will help to foster and build stronger bridge of cooperation, harmony and bilateral relationship and economic tiers.
Super High Chief Nwankpa retirated the need for parents to give their children free hands to make their choices in marriage inorder to build a stronger home where love, harmony and respect rein supreme.
He prayed for all round prosperity for the new family.
He cautioned the couples to guard against third party interference in their union inorder to avoid colossal damage. The chairman on the occasion, Hon. Bestman Ahiwe described the institution of marriage as sacred ordined by God from time immemorial and thus must be respected by the parties for it to last and bear expected fruits.
The father of the bridegroom and a development expert, Nana Berema Ochira Okufuo Ashanti Apelle- a development expect said that been his first visit to Abia, he was overwhelmed by the level of hospitality shown to them snd appreciated his Ngwan in-laws and Abians for exhibiting such traits and for giving their daughter to the son in marriage.
He promised to play the good role of a father to the young couples and assured that distance would not be a barrier.
In his own part, the traditional Prine Minister of Mgbokoukwu Community, Chief Standhope Nwankpa, popularly called Atusion, prayed for an all round success and blessings of God upon the family but confessed that he was not very keen with his first daughter, a trained medical doctor to stay too far away from him and the family.
The Mother, Mrs Goodluck Nwankpa who was busy ensuring that visitors are adequately taken care, could not hide her joy and excitement along side with his brother Ngozi Nwogu who helped in seeing the occasion went successfully wished the new couple the best.
Mr/Mrs Berema Ochiri said that they were more than excited and lacked the appropriate words to show their gratitude to everyone for adding such a beautiful colour to the occasion.
Highlights of the occasion was the exchange of martial wine and blessings from both parents and families and cutting of the traditional cake
