All is now set for the Niger Delta Youth Peace Builders to host the 2022 Youth Peace Summit in Abia.
The Summit which would help in fostering peace and unity among the youth of Abia and Nigeria at large, would centre its theme on the “Consequences of violence and the role of orientation in youth empowerment for National development”.
In an interaction with the President of the Niger Delta Youth Peace Builders, Comr Chibuike Emmanuel, said the event is being sponsored by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC),as part of her quest to project the image of the area as a peaceful region.
According to Comr Emmanuel,the NDDC would not stop in her mission to the continued development of the Niger Delta region.
Meanwhile, the President of the Niger Delta Youth Peace Builders,Comr Chibuike Emmanuel, highlighted the expectations of the program, stating that as the nation is being confronted with various security challenges, ranging from the activities of bokoharm,herdsmen,IPOB, unknown gunmen and others,the youth would be better informed on why they should shun violence, youth restiveness and any act that could hit up the polity.
He said the event would come up on the 23rd of September, 2022, at Toxydon Hotels,Umuagu Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia state, adding that the Special Guest of Honour would be the Pro Chancellor, University of Nigeria,Nsukka,High Chief Ikechi Emenike,among other dignitaries.
