NGO Celebrates The Nigerian Child

This year’s  National Children’s day celebration was indeed exciting, educative and fun-filled for the pupils & students of several schools gathered at the NTA, Aba premises on 27th May, 2019 to celebrate their day.

The event was organized by the Nita Foundation and Friends Club whose founder & president is Miss. Anita Nnanna. The foundation was set to improve the living standards of the less privileged children & youths especially in the area of education and shelter, changing the lives of the less privileged children & youth and giving them a better future.

This year’s event was anchored on stoping child abuse and imposing careers on children and this she planned to achieve by organizing interschool competitions and children’s day funfair to portray this theme / message. Several schools in attendance were Shekinah Model Academy  Aba,  Divine Excel International Academy, Prime Early Childhood Int’l school, Priesthood Royale, Lilac Comprehensive School, among others.

The occasion featured Essay competitions, Dancing competitions, Games activities, Beauty Pageantry, Drama competitions, etc. There was also a raffle draw section whose winner is Master Obomanu Michael from Shekinah Model, Academy, Aba.

At the end of the competitions/ funfair Divine Excel International Academy took the overall 1st position in all the events and Shekinah Model Academy and Prime Early Childhood Int’l School took the 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner –up respectively.

The chairman on the occasion Mr. Odinaka gave the vote of thanks as the president & founder Miss. Anita concluded by saying  “ You don’t have to be rich to help others, it  all requires a great deal of sincerity, love and care, most importantly the fear of God and a smile which goes a long way. These can make life a lot letter.
