Newly Sworn In Commissioner For Lands And Housing, Promises A Good Working Relationship With Ministry Staff.

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Lands and Housing, Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije, has thanked the Executive Governor of Abia State ,Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, for appointing him as the Commissioner for Lands and Housing and assured him and Abians of his resolve to discharge his duties diligently in the office.

Mr. Chukwumerije, disclosed this during his reception by the joint Management and Staff of the former Ministries of Lands, Survey and Urban Planning now ministry of Lands and Housing. He restated his determination to reinvigorate the Ministry.

ln a press release signed by directors of information in the ministry Sir. Uzomba Ekwuribe and Mrs. Josephine Ogwo, stated that the newly sworn in Commissioner who was accompanied by a retinue of well wishers, assured the Management and Staff of the Ministry of his willingness to tap into their wealth of experience in order to change the narrative of the Ministry and called for the support and cooperation of the Management and staff of the Ministries.

Receiving the Commissioner earlier in the Ministry, the Acting Permanent Secretary and Director, Quantity Surveying Department, Sir. Uche Ralph Owoh, assured the Commissioner of the support of the Management and Staff of the Ministry and commended Gov. Alex Otti, for appointing and swearing in Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije as Honourable Commissioner to man the affairs of the ministry.

In his welcome address, the Acting Permanent Secretary and Surveyor General Anthony Ivonye, described the choice of Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije as commendable, adding that the Commissioner would be assisted to hit the ground running by the professionals in the ministry.
