New NSCDC Boss in Enugu Charges Officers on Security, Says It Is Time For Work Not Stories

The new Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Enugu State Command, Mr. Aloysius Udemadu Obiorah, has charged officers and men of the Command to roll their sleeves and get ready to work for the good and safety of the State.

Mr. Obiorah stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu on Thursday.

Mr. Obiorah who assumed duty as the eleventh Commandant in the State barely a week ago said that he was not in the State to listen to fables of failures or business as usual, but to make a difference, create an impact and contribute to the development of the State.

The said that the development of any economy and society was dependent on the prevailing security atmosphere in that environment.

He described Enugu as the capital of South East political zone, insisting that the collective interest of the geopolitical zone cannot be toyed with hence the commitment of all is solicited for a win win result.

The NSCDC boss said that the incidences of insecurity in the State required a collective effort, promising that any outstanding contribution or performance of any personnel of the Command would be rewarded under his watch.

Mr. Obiorah extended a hand of fellowship to other Security Agencies in the State and promised a robust partnership that would further strengthen the already existing synergy among the Services with the aim of keeping the State secured.
