NATIONAL DIVISION 1 HANDBALL LEAGUE: Soof, Air Force Emerge Champions

The National Division 1 Handball League has been concluded with Soof Handball Club and Air Force emerging champions in the female and male categories respectively.

Soof Handball  Club defeated Funad Academy 36-23 while Air Force took full advantage of their superior experience and firepower to defeated U & H Abia 22-34.

The third place match in the female category saw Girl Child Academy defeat  Edo Dynamous 27-21 while in the male’s category, Suleja Shooters worked over Bayelsa Handball Team.

In the individual awards, Highest Goal Scorer for the female went to Okolo Joan of Soof Handball Club while Suleiman Usman of  Air force won the award in the male category.

Best Goal keeper (female) went to Emuore Enifome of Soof Handball club while the award for the males went to Shainu Friday Michael of U & H Abia.

Most Valuable Player (female) went to Audu Salamatu Favor of Funad Academ as Samuel Achema of  U & H Abia won the award in the male category.

The finalists have gained promotion into the Nigerian Handball Premier League.
