NAAT Honours Access Bank

The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), has honoured Access Bank Plc with a meritorious award of excellence, commending them for their human-face services.

The NAAT Zonal Co-ordinator, South-East Zone, Comrade Emmanuel Mbaoji who made the commendation during NAAT South-East/South-South Joint Zonal Executive Council meeting at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), Abia state, called on other financial institutions to emulate Access Bank people’s oriented services.

Earlier in his remark, the South-East Zonal Public Relations Officer (PRO) and NAAT Chairman, MOUAU Chapter, Comrade Ifeanyi K. Nwaji, recalled that the management and staff of Access Bank PLC, came to their rescue during the COVID-19 era and the currency re-design/cashless policy.

Comrade Nwaji who is also a member of NLC SAC, decried the untold hardship those era bestowed upon Nigerians especially their staff, added that they got several levels of reliefs through Access Bank when other banks turned their backs on them on campus.

This, he said, informed NAAT South East’ Zonal Executive decision to honour Access Bank Plc with an Award of Excellence in recognition of their outstanding service delivery, maintaining that it is an award well-deserved.

Receiving the award, the Bank representative, Mrs. Ndudim Josephine thanked the executives of NAAT for the honour, adding that Access Bank Plc will always identify with their customers, especially at difficult times.

She promised that the management of the bank would continue to explore other means to serve the university community better.

The Zonal Coordinator, NAAT, South South zone, Comrade Alex Abraham among other executives were present at the event that was earlier declared open by the Dean, College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET) of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umidike, Prof. E.I Ahaneku, who in his speech encouraged NAAT and in extension the NLC to stand firm being the voice of the voiceless workforce of the Nation.
