Governor Okezie Ikpeazu says his adminstration is currently addressing the road infrastructural deficit in the state with the aim of building lasting roads that will stand the test of time.
Governor Ikpeazu who stated this while speaking at a Solemn Assembly organised by the Aba Ecclesiastical Leaders’ Forum with the Theme:”Oh Lord,Heal our Land” said the roads built by his adminstration will stand the test of time as government is using Cement Pavement Technology to ensure its longevity.
While urging the people to exercise patience with his adminstration as it is poised to give them the best,Ikpeazu said he will not resort to the use of substandard materials in the construction of road projects across the state adding that the essence of building drainages is to ensure its longevity.
“You can’t expect our roads to last if you don’t build through the foundation so, I am prepared to wait for the right thing to be done”, Ikpeazu said.
According to Governor Ikpeazu, he is not surprised at the antics of the opposition to derail his adminstration and called for a change of heart for the people to see the good intention of his adminstration.
Ikpeazu who said he is encouraged by the prayers of the church assured that his adminstration will not let them down.
The Secretary, Aba Ecclesiastical Leaders Forum,Rev.Dr. Emma Sylva in his keynote address pointing out that the need for prayers cannot be over emphasized and said the event was organized to seek the face of God in the affairs of Abia state.
Pastor Bassey Udoh Board of Trustee chairman Aba Eccessastical Forum,Pastor Bassey Udoh said the event organised by leaders drawn from all churches in Aba in fulfillment of the word of God to make suplication for the state and those in positions of authority.
The event featured prayers for Governor Ikpeazu, the State and those in authority.
