Mrs. Otti to collaborate with the Nigeria Red Cross on hygiene promotion, training on first aid.

 

Mrs. Priscilla Otti, the wife of the Governor of Abia State, has agreed to collaborate with the Nigerian Red Cross to promote hygiene among students in schools, raise awareness about the dangers of cancer, and provide training in first aid to people in rural areas for accidents and emergencies.

The Governor’s wife expressed her intentions during a courtesy visit by the Nigeria Red Cross at her country home in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State.

Mrs. Otti revealed that she will be collaborating with the Nigeria Red Cross in the field of health management and advocacy against gender-based violence due to the organization’s prompt response to emergencies and voluntary services to humanity.

She assured the Nigeria Red Cross of her support and mentioned that she would interact with the governor, who will address some of their challenges and offer solutions.

Earlier, the branch chairman of the Nigeria Red Cross in Abia state, Comrade Chimaraoke Ufomadu, explained that the job of the Nigeria Red Cross is not limited to sensitisation and advocacy alone but also teach people on first aid and emergency services.

According to him, red cross is a voluntary organisation formed to serve humanity.
