Mrs Ikpeazu enjoins women to make peace a veritable tool

The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu has charged the Peoples Democratic Party women leaders in all the 17 local government, Market women leaders and other pro-groups in the State to make peace a veritable tool for the party’s electoral success come 2019.

The Governor’s wife made the charge in a strategic meeting organized with the women leaders at Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia to rob mind on the way forward for the party in the forthcoming election.
She advised that as leaders in the grassroots your job is to take the message of the party to your local areas and educate them on the goals of the administration led by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The Abia First Lady also explained that the administration has thrived in the area of road construction, healthcare provision, education for employment, business development, food production, housing development, skills acquisition and many more.

According to her, “we can only achieve more if you all play your role in mobilising people to vote for the party peacefully because without peace among us we cannot move the state forward”.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu said that he is happy to see women organising and mobilising massively to vote for the sustainability of the PDP government in the State come 2019.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Eme Okoro, reiterated that though the government may make mistakes but the Governor is delivering on his campaign promises.
Again, I am personally encouraged that your confidence and trust in this administration is the key for us to win again the upcoming election.

Others who spoke at the meeting were , the PDP women leader in the state, Mrs. Stella Igbokwe, Director General State PDP Women Mobilisations, Barr. Nnenna Obewu Onwuka and Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ugoeze Kate Onyemachi all assuring the wife of Abia Governor that they will work hard to ensure that the party wins the upcoming election.

However, in a related development the wife of Abia Governor also addressed women political appointees in the State to work harder to sustain peace without which we cannot achieve the pillars and enablers of the Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration.
