The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, has commissioned a 2- bedroom bungalow at Ndi Odoemela Village in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.
The bungalow was built for an indigent woman  Mrs. Florence Jojo, by the member representing Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency, Mr. Uzoma Nkem Abonta as his way of giving back to his constituents.
At the commissioning and handing over the keys of the house to Mrs. Jojo, the Governor’s wife said that Abonta has catch the vision of providing shelter to the downtrodden and has also been supportive of Vicar Hope Foundation’s activities in the area of women and youths empowerment and urge good spirited Abians to emulate such fits to make the society a better place for all because government alone can not solve all the problems of the society.
According to her, “this is a project we have been doing in every local government area of the State, ensuring affordable housing wherever needed without prejudice because we want everyone to be sheltered and Abonta again has contributed to that vision today”.
However, the Governor’s wife said that she is grateful with the level of support the administration of Gov. Ikpeazu is getting from the people of Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency and advised all to endeavour to register at the ongoing voters card registration.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abonta said that he is able to achieve the project through Graceland Foundation which moves round the wards to do the much they can do because it is our common believe to put all indigent under a roof.
