Mrs Ikpeazu appreciates Umuahia South indigenes

The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu said she could not hide her joy due to the warm reception accorded her by the people of Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.

The Governor’s wife who led the Peoples Democratic Party women campaign team for the re-election of Gov. Ikpeazu and others to Apumiri Ubakala, also the council headquarters said that Umuahia South people has shown their solidarity with the current administration and support for the PDP.

She explained that the re-election of Gov Ikpeazu for second term in office is in accordance with the Abia chatter of equity as determined by the founding fathers of the state.

According to her, “your support to achieve this should be guided by peaceful conducts on the election day, after voting we shall stand by and defend our vote against miscreants who would want to hoodwink us.
Speaking at the rally, the Chairman of Abia State Universal Basic Education Board, Mr. Kenechukwu Nwosu, said that Umuahia South people has no choice but to reciprocate the good gesture the Governor has shown through his development programmes.

Nwosu maintained that the act of carrying everyone along and his inclusive politics is enough to galvanize his re-election and our people are solidly behind him.

In their remarks, the Commissioner for Training and Establishment, Mrs. Elizabeth Uhuegbu, wife of the former Governor of the state, Mrs. Odochi Orji, Permanent Secretary, Planning Commission, Mrs. Adanma Iheuwa, the immediate past Chairman of the council, Mr. Obioma Ogbulafor, all said that other parties have no hold anywhere in the area except PDP so we will win convincingly.

Meanwhile in a related development the Governor’s wife commissioned the Umuokwom Community Civic Centre, four blocks of classroom at Amuzu Ubakala and a market stall at Umunwanwa all in Umuahia South LGA.
