Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), has achieved a significant milestone,following the recent approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the commencement of Management Science programs from the 2024/2025 academic session.
This landmark achievement paves the way for the introduction of B.Sc. programs in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Management, and Marketing, reinforcing the university’s commitment to academic excellence and capacity building in critical business fields.
Reacting to the approval, Prof. John U. Ihendinihu, a Professor of Accounting at MOUAU, expressed profound delight over the development, describing it as a historic moment in the university’s pursuit of academic distinction.
He commended the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe and his management team for their relentless efforts in securing the approval. He also extended appreciation to Rep. Sir Sam Onuigbo KJW Odozi Obodo Gburugburu for his invaluable support and strategic political navigation in making this milestone a reality.
