MOUAU Alumni Holds End of the Year Dinner Party, Visits Charity Home

Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) Alumni Association, has urged Nigerians to be peaceful and show more love to the indigents in this festive period.

The MOUAU Alumni Chairman, Umuahia chapter, Comrade Onyekachi Anozie Uwalaka who stated this during the association end of the year dinner party in Umuahia recently, commended members of the group for being patriotic and good ambassadors of their alma mater.

He called on Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for candidates of their choices come 2023 general elections.


Meanwhile, National President, MOUAU Alumni, Dr. Oscar Obasi Igwe, has called on members of the group across the globe to continiously sustain the ‘universally competent’ spirit that MOUAU graduands are known for.

Represented by the National Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Enyinnaya Umezuruike, he expressed hope that the ongoing 1,000-seater capacity lecture theatre that would be donated to the univerdity, will be completed in record time.

He also called on members the group across the globe to come contribute towards actualizing the project as a means of paying back to the system that nurtured them.

In their separate remarks, the National Vice-Chairman of MOUAU Alumni, Dr. Ugochukwu Onyegbule and the National Secretary, Comrade Chukwudi Njoku, charged members of the group to uphold brotherly love among them, adding that it is the only way to create a better society for all.

In his goodwill message, the foremost chairman, MOUAU Alumni Association, Umuahia chapter, Chief Promise Obilor, commended Umuahia chapter Chairman, Comrade Uwalaka and his members for their unity of purpose, expressing joy that the group has made good progress from what it used to be.

In his vote of thanks, the Vice Chairman, MOUAU Alumni Association Umuahia chapter, Dr. Peter Damian Jiwuba, thanked members of the group for their critical roles in ensuring the success of the event and called for more participation in subsequent event.

The event which was anchored by Dr. ThankGod Nwaneri also featured donations of bags of rice, food materials among others to St. Vincent De Paul less privileged home Umuafai, Umuahia while members of the group resident in Umuahia and it’s suburbs attended the event.
