Ministerial Screening: Uche Ogah has capacity to perform-APC chieftain

The Abia State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Donatus Nwankpa, has described the ministerial nominee from Abia, Dr Uche Ogah, as one who has the capacity to perform as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Hon Nwankpa in a telephone interview with our Reporter, said Dr Ogah would deliver the best to Abians because he has a good intention for the state as a governorship candidate.

He said the Abia ministerial nominee would pursue good governance and work with the state government regardless of party affiliation,to give the dividend of democracy to the people, stressing that on matters that affect governance, party belonging should not be considered.

The APC chief, however, disclosed that Dr Ogah is not a minister of Abia alone, but a minister of the Federal Republic that is guided by standard, quality and direction, therefore, Abians should expect the best.

” Unlike other politicians that lack political bearing and are driven by professional interest, Ogah holds the development of Abia with great importance”, Nwankpa stated.

However, the APC chief berates the way and manner, people are making issues out of the ongoing ministerial screening where ex ministers as well as Legislators are asked to take a bow and go, saying that the Senate gives preference to former Lawmakers and wondered why some people would look at things from a sentimental and parochial level.
