MBBS Examination: Ikpeazu lauds ABSUTH, promises to do more for Institution

Abia State, Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has applauded students, management and staff of Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), Aba, for the results posted by students of the institution in the just concluded 4th and 5th MBBS examination.

According to a statement released by the state Commisioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, the Governor who described the performance as amazing assured that his administration was encouraged to do much more for the institution going forward.

Chief Okiyi informed that the Governor has directed his Chief of Staff, Prof ACB Agbazuere, to urgently intervene in the public power supply challenges faced by the students of ABSUTH with a view to ensuring that they were resolved immediately.

According to the detailed report from the Chief Medical Director of ABSUTH, Dr Offiah Awah, 80% of final (5th) year MBBS students of the institution passed the examination with 7 distinctions in surgery.
