Marriage, a call to duty, Emetu, Abia D.Gov.

The Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, has described marriage as a call to duty.

Engr. Emetu, who said this during the wedding reception of former Miss Deborah Eke and Mr. Daniel Kalu held at the GIA Event Center, Aba, pointed out that marriage carries with it a responsibility to one’s couple and then children that are coming on the way.

The Deputy Governor urged the new couple to learn to tolerate one another’s shortcomings in order to have a successful marriage

He further encouraged married couples to remain steadfast in love and tolerate one another to enable them enjoy a happy marriage.

Furthermore, he prayed God to bless the union with wonderful children that will make them and the society proud as well as grant them a very blissful marriage.


Speaking earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Sir. Nwaobilor Ananaba described marriage as a partnership where everyone have their shortcomings.

While urging the new couple to love one another, he described the groom as a very great man and also seized up the opportunity to appreciate the parents of couple for raising them well.

Responding on behalf of his wife, Deborah, the groom. Mr Daniel Eke thanked God for the success of their wedding and appreciated the Deputy Governor and all that graced their wedding.
