Maintain Good Works and Ensure Peace in the Society, Gov. Otu Charges Security Agencies 

The Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu has changed the Officers and Men of the Security Agencies to keep up their good works in ensuring peace reigns in the State and the Country at large.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Anthony Owan Enoh gave the charge during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Service, held at the Presbyterian Church Hope Waddle Calabar.

He acknowledged that these men made sacrifices for us all and equally paid the ultimate price, and so we should not allow their labor go in vain. He thereby assured the families of the fallen heroes of continuous remembrance of their departed.

The Governor also promised of constant support to the families of these heroes and to stand by them when ever the need arises, and not only during the occasion but the Widows and the Legions will always receive support from the government.

During the Sermon, the Prelate and Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, His Eminence Most Rev. Ekpeyong Akpanika urged Nigerians to take the opportunity of the Armed Forces Remembrance Celebration to reflect on the meaning and importance of Sacrifice as it affect our Nation.

Most Rev. Akpanika encouraged all by stating that no matter what one is passing through victory will always be sure, but we must seek peaceful ways of living with one another.
