Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu has harped on the need for people to reflect on the essence of their being alive on earth bearing in mind life after death.
Speaking during the funeral service held in honour of late Ugwudi Ajuruchi Egenkonye Enwere by the Assemblies of God Church, Jerusalem District, Umuahia, Engr. Emetu admonished the mourners to strive to live lives that will earn them eternity with God.
The Deputy Governor who said that there is always a time to born and a time to answer the claring glorious call, pointed out that, what really matters is what you represented either in your family, with your friends or where you work and that is what will be used to be remembered.
He urged the family to uphold the sterling qualities she bequeath and prayed God to give them the Grace to bear the irreplaceable loss as well as grant the soul of the mama eternal rest.
He seized up the opportunity to thank the Ministers of God for their sustained prayers for the government of Abia State.
His words, “We can’t do it alone because we are not magicians. It is the collective prayers of the Church that is leading us as a government “.
In his sermon, the District Supt of Assemblies of God Church, Rev Kenneth Ogbudu, emphasized the need for every Christian to prepare to answer the final call which is death.
Rev Ogbudu also noted that we have only two days in this life ; first for ourselves and the second day , for the Lord adding that we should endeavor to make good use of our time by living a righteous life in order to inherit the kingdom of God
He described mama as a very devoted Christian who serve God in true and spirit
In his tribute, one of the son to the deceased and a friend to Deputy Governor, Mr Ikechukwu Enyinnya Enwere described his late mother as a very loving, carely and good woman whose kindness towards mankind was very remarkable on so many souls
He thanked the state deputy governor Engr Ikechukwu Emetu and others for coming to identified with their family and pray God to grant them journey mercies.
The remains of late Ugwudi Ajuruchi Egenkonye Enwere was later laid to rest in her husband Country home, Okaiuga Nkwoegwu in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
