The Lionesses of England successfully defended their Euro title with a stunning 3-1 penalty victory over Spain.
Full and extra-time had ended 1-1 after Mariona Caldentey’s header gave Spain the lead in the first half, Allessia Russo’s header in the 75th minute restored parity.
While England missed two of their penalty kicks Spain converted only one.
England manager Sarina Wingman has won three consecutive UEFA Women’s Euros, first with Netherlands in 2017 with Netherlands and twice with England.
