“He has shown that he is a democrat and is dedicated to the welfare of the people of Abia State and Nigeria at large.
“I want to applaud our governor for showing that he is on the side of the people in every issue that arises in our polity”.
While also applauding the Abia state House of Assembly for being a true representative of the masses, the Commissioner urged other State Houses of Assembly to follow suit to enable the president accent to the law as soon as possible for the benefit of the Nigerian masses.
Chikamnayo noted that the law when fully operational will enhance democracy, engender more development at the grassroots as well as provide financial independence at the local government level.
He added that there are clauses in the law that will control reckless spendings by the leadership of various local governments with its attendant checks and balances.
